Examination tomorrow...

Well, since I haven't written here for quite a while, I thought that I'd should take the oppurtunity to do it now, altough I don't really have the time to do so.
Well, I've been trying to study as well as I've been able to, for almost all of this week, and of course, I did try to study as well as I could the week before that, and the week before that...

I truly need to organize my life a bit...
Well, I also got in contact with a bloke from Opus Dei here in Sweden, and since I'm interested in joining it, we've had som interesting discussions I think.

By the way, some information about my day so far;
I got up at about 09:40.
I have eaten a bowl of sour milk with a sliced banana, and "Oatmeal Squares", or in plain Swedish, "Havre Fras".
I have eaten two sandwiches with Nutella.
I am now sitting and trying to study for tomorrow's examination.

Concentration partly accomplished

Well, yesterday I "at least" worked from 16:00 to about 23:00 on our project.
It was very nice to know that one did something very good for the group, and I think that I will, as a consequence, grow as a human being by being more involved in more sincere things, whatever it might be.

Right now, I would like to send my prayers to the PiS (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, or simply Law and Justice in English) political party in Poland.
They are on the right track, fighting for the values of the Bible, and I wish you all luck in building a true strong and conservative society.

Concentration

Well, one of the things I hate about myself is my inability to concentrate on one task at a time sometimes. Yesterday I managed to do some work for school on the computer, but it took far too much time, since I found myself chatting and surfing around at websites that I shouldn't read, since I do not have that sort of time. There's only about a week left before the big test about IT in Organisations now..

I like me...

EDIT: Sorry, I should have written "to list seven things that I like about myself"
Apparently, Ivar has tagged me and "forced" me to do this silly thing - to list all things that I like about myself (argh!).

Well, I better start right now;

1. I like that I am not afraid to change my views when I am wrong.
2. I like that I won't back down when I know I'm right.
3. I like that I have found the Truth.
4. I like that I am trying to love people, no matter how they are.
5. I like that I am studying computer- and systems science at the university.
6. I like that I am able to enjoy the nature.
7. I like that I am interested in politics.

Well, then it's my turn to "force" some people to write what they like about themselves :-P
I tag Bob and Joakim.

Gmail: another extra megabyte every 11th minute?

Well, I've noticed that Google has increased the speed in which they increase my Gmail account's available memory. Google now gives me another megabyte about every 11th minute or so, which means about 130 or so extra megabyte per day (24 hours).

Well, that's very good news, I think, but what about increasing my Picasaweb album instead, so I don't have to worry about posting to many pictures here on Blogger? :-P

But thank you anyway Google ;-)
Having lots of memory in my inbox is always nice, altough AOL and Yahoo is offering unlimited storage now...

Another day in paradise, eh?

Well, today I've been to Church, but I have also been able to clear up some space on my PC, so now I have the very exhilarating enormous number of megabytes that are free to use up at about 700...
No, that's not much at all, I know.
But it's enough so some programs will run without any trouble and so forth, but it took some hard work, and I'm glad that I don't have to go through all the hassle to change hard drive (plus the fact that a new one will cost about 50 euros...) and install Windows XP (my Nintendo wi-fi usb-thingie doesn't work with Vista..) and all other things related to it.
...and thinking about it, I'd much rather have a new PC, since this old one can't run some programs very well that I'd like to try out more (Joost for example).

Sometimes I truly wonder what lies ahead for me.
Things were much easier in upper secondary school.

The test

Well, as you might have understood from the previous post, today was the big D-day.
Or Judgement Day.
I had my knowledge tested to the limits by an incredible test, by the prophets of my course, "Information Technology for Private usage" (freely translated) - ITP that is.

Well, the test did turn out not to be such a huge challenge as I was afraid that it would be.
But some questions were a little bit more tricky than the other ones, and I'm afraid that might be the difference for me to get a Fx (almost the worst grade, F is worse though) or an A or B (the best grade is, of course, A)...

So, well, what other things has happened today?
Not that much actually, I ate my lunch while on the train (two sandwiches) and after the test I went back to my municipality and had a great Friday-dinner at a Chinese restaurant :-D.
This evening we've also seen the film "Wild Hogs", which I liked watching very much.
It seems to lack a little bit of that "edge" that I find in comedy films by Jim Carrey for example.
But it was worth seeing, and my grandpa seemed to like it as well (I'm not sure about my grandmother, she haven't seemed to be that glad at all this evening..).

For example...

...I've tried to learn the Fetch/Execute cycle (Instruction Fetch (IF), Instruction Decode (ID), Data Fetch (DF), Instruction Execution (EX) and Result Return (RR)), CMYK (Cyan Magenta Yellow Key), ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit, a subsystem of a computer that performs the operations of an instruction.), TCP ("connection oriented" - Transmission Control Protocol), IP ("forwarding" and "best effort"), UDP ("connectionless"), Ray Kurzweil (inventor of the first OCR (Optical Character Recognition) unit for the benefit of blind people.

This was just an example of things I have to remember for tomorrow's test...

Test tomorrow...

Well, I am very, very nervous, since this will be my first test ever during my University studies.
I truly hope that I have overestimated the task, and that the questions won't be so difficult as I do imagine them to be, but I'm quite sure that my wish won't come true.
There is quite an impossibility to learn the whole book, consisting of about 800 pages, plus all notes from lectures, and the material from the lecturers, as well as other material that the lecturers have referred to..

Well, good night, and I may only hope that I will have the power to do well on tomorrow's test.

More specific nerd-test

Well, I found a more specific nerd-test at Ivar's blog, and thought I'd publish the results.

NerdTests.com says I'm a Slightly Dorky Nerd. What are you? Click here!

As you see, I'm not near the results of Mr Ivar-Mega-Dorky-Nerd-King :-P
(Strangely, I am jealous...)

Please give me the strength to study harder

Well, I pray that the Lord is willing to give me the strength to study harder and be more concentrated on my tasks that I have before me, and be my guiding light, and I pray that His will will always come true.

I hope that He will show me what my calling is in this world, no matter if it's Priesthood, work in the IT-industry or anything else, I will always try my best and be true to my call.

I will also pray that God will show His Church for all people, so that people will be Saved.

Well, then some more earthly matters.
Today we went to a restaurant, since Doriz (our dog) is very sick, and my grandmother wasn't in the mood to cook something up (and I wasn't either, since I've spent every minute awake studying the book "Fluency with Information Technology" (by Lawrence Snyder)).
I had snails for entrée and grilled salmon as the main course.

We have also seen a new episode of "Desperate Housewives" and the episodes are just getting more and more perverted.
I don't think it would be too much of a loss if I missed some episodes, but unfortunately there are some very interesting happenings, which I must know how they'll turn out.

The days go by...

...and the day of reckoning is nigh,
though there is no time,
to ponder and find,
what's in my mind,
I have to study in time,
before standing in line,
for my final time.

(Yes, I guess I'm no good at this either, or what do you think?
Please leave a comment!)

No backwards compatibility in PS3s?

Well, I was quite surprised when I read at Eurogamer that the new 40GB PS3 will replace the 60GB version, and well, the only difference is that the 40GB-version won't have backwards compatibility. So, then there's no need to worry, eh? Well, from my point-of-view, I think there's a great deal to worry about, since I have been thinking of replacing or buying an Xbox 360, but not done so since for example Jet Set Radio Future and the Dancing Stage-games doesn't work on it, but I don't have a PS2, so I guess it's no problem for me actually...
So, back to my studies...

No hot air balloon today..

Well, I got an SMS (right after Mass today) from dad that we can't fly the hot air balloon today either.

I think it's about the 6th or 7th time they cancel it due to the weather, and this time it seemed as if the weather was fine (the weather hasn't been that terrible the other times it was cancelled either...). But I guess they know what they're doing, and in a way it's good since my sister probably wouldn't have been able to come with us since she works today.

Hot air balloon tomorrow?

Well, if we're lucky (or maybe not) we're going to fly hot air balloon tomorrow, the whole (fathers'-side) family, including grandma (on my fathers' side of the family).
Today I've studied about three hours, but I've also cleaned my room and visited Åhléns to buy three pair of socks as well as the two last manga-books in the Love Hina-series, so I at last will be able to read the ending (will Keitaro marry Naru Narusegawa?).
Well, may God be with us all. Good night.

Swimming today

Well, I and Bob have been talking about swimming (in a swimming hall) for the past couple of weeks I guess, but today I actually think that we are going to swim, since I've got a bathing-trunks and I am not having a cold or anything.

As usual, when we have decided to go to the swimming hall, I had forgot to bring bathing-trunks from home, so I bought a new pair yesterday, which I also cleaned yesterday, so everything is ready for some swimming this afternoon.

4 hours accomplished

Yes, I've just accomplished four hours of studying today.
I truly hate myself for not having enough discipline on myself to stay away from the computer or to do other things than studying (I have to fetch water and tea to drink sometimes though...).
...but I'm glad that I'm a little bit of a nerd, compared to my friend Bob, who apparently isn't the least "nerdy" :-P

Studies... and nerd test?

I didn't know what to answer on some of the questions.
No, unfortunately I am not talking about studies (as I definitely should do).
I have still an hour of studying or so ahead before I hit the sack, but my friend Bob did trick me to take this (silly) nerd test, so I took it, and well, look at the results (Bob got 14, I apparently got 46 - "lightly nerdy"...)

I am nerdier than 46% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

Headache. I thought it was gone.

...but it has come back to haunt me now, I guess.
Well, as you should know (if you've been following this, my blog, or if you've read a bit in the archives) I've had very serious trouble with headaches in the past.
So today I have had the most terrible headache in ages.

I know, I shouldn't complain.
I'm lucky to have food and a roof over my head.
But it's just that it's stopping me from doing so much studying as I had planned, so now, altough it's only 20:31 a clock, I am going to hit the sack.

Oh, by the way, I would like to recommend everyone to take a look at the fantastic Catholic Message Board.
There are a lot of wonderful people over there ;-)
